Here Is One Of My Favourite Tracks From "Shock Value".

It features rock band "The Hives" & is a highlight of Tim's latest record, which I still need to do a review on.

This track is representative of the second half of the album, a definate reach out to the 'pop' nation, which some people are not liking. But I see it as unique & innovative, you try & find something like this around at the moment?

Anyway, less chat more rock...

'Left Eye' Documentary...

A Planned Documentry, To Be Shown On VH1, Will Show The Last Month Of Lisa Lopes life.

The documentary, entitled "Last Days of Left Eye" will be shown on MTV's VH1 music channel. According to MTV Left Eye was documenting the last month of her life, maybe for a tv show, I'm not 100% sure.

Lisa Lopes passed away 5 years ago, almost to the day (25th April 2005), in a tragic car accident, her parents are still in an ongoing legal case over it.

Left Eye was a very talented female MC, whom there are not enough of around at the moment, her work will live on for some time to come, hopefully this documentary will be a tribute to her, rather than a cash in.

Here Is The Brand Spanking New Video From Rihanna.

I have been loving this song since I first heard it, a real addictive track, especially with the addition of Jay Z, a sure number #1.

This is the world premier of "Umbrella" which was shown on thisisrihanna.com at 3pm (Uk) today, hence the covergirl thing.

EMI & Jamelia Split

"Superstar" Jamelia Has Split With Her Record Label EMI Records.

The UK singer has said that it was due to the low sales & poor promotion of her latest album "Walk With Me", while of course her label blame her for the poor sales.

Personally, I would back Jamelia all the way, this girl can do no wrong, she doesn't seem to have a nasty bone in her body, "Walk With Me" was an adequate alum, some nice production & good vocals.

Jamelia has been with EMI since she was 16, she was always talking about the EMI A&R team & I think she will miss the familiarity of it all, a new album is rumoured to be in the works, but I don't know which label she will move to.

MTV News Report That Beyonce Knowles Has Been Forced To Pull The Plug On Her Re-Release Of B-Day, Just After The UK Release.

It comes as former 90's R&B star Des'ree accused Beyonce of sampling her music without permission for her track "Still In Love (Kissing You)".

Beyonce at first maintained that the single would not be on the re-release, she said she just made the track because she "Always Loved The Original".

I can't say I'm hugely bothered, I really liked the original version, it was full of good, beat driven R&B. Beyonce is a talented artist & good at what she does, but I don't think re-releases are fair to the people her bought the original, so I sort of think she deserves it.

Hip Hop Mogul Russell Simmons, Co Founder Of DefJam Records, Has Called For All Recording Artists Not To Use The Words "Bitch", "Ho" or "Nigger".

He said that there should be no government legislation or law against the words, but artists should be responsibly & strong willed enough to stop using them, & described the words as "Racially Offensive".

I can't see it having much effect myself, but at least he is trying to have a positive effect on a generation & culture that he helped create.
