R&B Beauty Rihanna Is Continuing Her World-Wide Domination Of The 'Pop-R&B' Market With Her Fifth Single From Good Girl Gone Bad.

Breakin' Dishes is a high-tempo, energetic song which, in my opinion, is a highlight of her very likable 3rd album. The track's theme (is you can call it that) is Rihanna getting pretty pissed with her man & starts; Breakin' Dishes.

Although Rihanna does not have the vocal ability to match the likes of Beyonce or Mariah, nor the charisma. I find it so hard to hate on her, she is a cool, young woman making some very radio friendly music. Check out the track below & let me know what you guys think of it?

What Do You Make Of The Track?
Let Me Know...

"Hate That I Love You" Is Set To Be The Next Single From "Rihanna".

The track was written by & features "Ne-Yo" & is a 'cheesy pop' song that is another sure fire hit for "Def Jam's" leading R&B stars. It is so additively catchy that you cannot help but sing, or hum along, but it still reminds me of a song from "Grease", it's just a little too much for me.

The video is pretty standard, Ne-Yo looking smooth, & Riri looking sexy. Check It Out Below & Let Me Know What You Think?

Loving Or Hating It,
Let Me Know?

While "Rihanna" Has Only Just Released "Shut Up & Drive", She Has Already Been Preparing The Next Single "Don't Stop The Music".

Although not exactly the most expensive video I've ever seen, it does serve it's purpose. The track itself is so well marketed to the UK & European club scene, it's dance rhythm& hot beat are complemented brilliantly by simply lyrics.

"Def Jam" have planned the single releases so well, "Umbrella" covering the 'Pop-R&B' scene, while "Shut Up & Drive" has it's commercial rock thing going on. Next, Rihanna is rumoured to be releasing "Hate That I Love You" which is a cheesy but likeable duet with R&B star "Ne-Yo".

Check Out The Video Below & See What You Make Of It?

"Shut Up & Drive" Is The Official Second Single From "Rihanna's" Number #1 Album "Good Girl Gone Bad".

This Rock tinged track has some simple, unfortunate, pop inspired lyrics, but looking past that is a hot single that should do well. It's not my favourite track from the album but will serve Riri well as a second single.

Check out the link & the video below, if your interest in the album, take a look at my Review.

R&B Meets Rock, Or Pop Trash, Let Me Know What You Think?

R&B Songstress "Rihanna" Has Taken The Unusual Step Of Releasing A Bonus CD In The UK, Her Almost Entire Album, Remixed.

A very clever move in my opinion, she is obviously trying to get her album into the 'Club' scene, although her album is mostly full of up-tempo, energetic songs, the tracks are not quite 'Club Bangers'.

The CD itself is full of, middle of the road, professional remixes from different DJ's, I think it will go down quite well in the UK, with the 'Dance' scene being big business.

To be honest, the tracks are only semi descent at best, they are extremely 'samie', it's hard to tell one from the other, until the lyrics kick in. It is obvious that Riri had very little part in this, her tracks are simply cut up & mixed into repetitive beats, they feel somewhat 'Lifeless', & leave you just wanting to listen to the original album.

Apart from the negatives, I think this is a good ploy by Rihanna's people, a very unique idea that will spread Riri's sound across a different culture.

What Do You Make Of The Idea & The CD Itself?

Last Night, "MTV" Held Their Annual Movie Awards & MTV Just Wouldn't Be MTV Without Some Music Thrown In The Mix.

Among others, "Rihanna" performed her World Wide smash "Umbrella", after seeing her perform in the UK, i wasn't expecting a huge amount of improvement in quality but I was most definately wrong.

Riri seems to have come on leaps & bounds in her live performances, her stage presence, confidence & most importantly her vocals. Don't get me wrong, she's no "Mariah choreography in her " but it's great to feel an energy to her voice, rather than the almost lifeless renditions we are used to. Rihanna'sperformance was on-point as usual, & with the addition of "Jay Z" spiting his lyrics at the start, this was a stand out performance.

Rihanna's third album, which was released in the UK today is set to head straight for the number one spot, it is a strong offering, & with her obvious vocal improvement, plus her bounding confidence & charisma, it may soon be time for "Beyonce" to step aside as the Queen of R&B.

The 19 year old, who is enjoying chart success in both the UK & US charts is looking gorgeous in the pics below. In the mag itself, she talks about her life, musical success & her apparent 'beef' with "Beyonce Knowles".

I'm Loving Riri at the moment, her album is pretty hot, some enjoyable well performed tracks, grab a copy when it's released on Monday.

"Good Girl Gone Bad" is the 3rd album from "Rihanna" in just over two years, & her sound has thankfully progressed with her age. Although there are still moments of immature 'pop' music on this record, the majority has a more grown up, sexy feel to it, which is only a good thing.

Highlights of the album include; "Umbrella", the current smash hit for Riri, with it's huge rhythm & beat, this was always a certain number #1. Her second single "Shut Up & Drive" will at least give her a top #5 hit, it's more 'rocky' feel makes this an addictive track to listen to.

"Breakin' Dishes" is an obvious single & shows Rihanna with a bit of Attitude. "Don't Stop The Music" is a real gem of this album, with it's 'dance; beat & rhythmically timed lyrics, this sounds more like a UK dance track than something from an R&B artist, this shows Rihanna diversity as an artist, plus she really pulls this track off well.

This album, although promising, is not flawless, with some slow, almost boring tracks; the title track "Good Girl Gone Bad" being one of them, & the addition of "Ne-Yo's" vocals on "Hate That I Love You" being almost cringe worthy, in parts sounding like a musical number from "Grease". Even "Timbaland's" effort for this album just seems to be a recycled beat; "Rehab", while well sung with solid production, just sounds like "Justin Timberlake's" "What Goes Around".

Overall, apart from some disappointing moments, this is a solid, consistent offering with some great tracks. Some tracks need a few listens before you get to like them, but I can promise you will. This will remain a firm favourite with me throughout the summer, & is a promising sign of what is to come from Rihanna, this will not be the last you hear from this girl, not by a long shot.

"Good Girl Gone Bad" is scheduled for release June 4th (UK), go a grab a copy, it won't disappoint.

Riri...

Today, Unexpectedly, Rihanna's New, Highly Anticipated Album; "Good Girl Gone Bad" Was Leaked.

I have been looking forward to this album for quite some time, I haven't had a chance to have a listen yet, but as soon as I do, there will be a review.

On another note, Riri has also performed a live session here in the UK for "Radio 1's Big Weekend", it's not a bad show from the 19 year old. But she still needs a little work on her vocal talent, there are some obvious weak notes in her voice, but mainly she needs a little more energy in it.

Here is the download link for her new album, even if you download it from here, go & buy it in stores on June 4th.

Here Is The Apparent Second Single From "Rihanna's" New Album "Good Girl Gone Bad".

"Shut Up & Drive" is a middle of the road track, it has nothing on "Umbrella" but has it's charms, it feels more advanced than Rihanna's last album, but if this is the substance of her new album, I can't see it being a huge hit.

Give it a listen, it's a radio edit, so not that hot.

Here Is The Brand Spanking New Video From Rihanna.

I have been loving this song since I first heard it, a real addictive track, especially with the addition of Jay Z, a sure number #1.

This is the world premier of "Umbrella" which was shown on thisisrihanna.com at 3pm (Uk) today, hence the covergirl thing.

Here Are A Few Shots Of Riri At Her Video Shoot Of "Umbrella" Taken From Her New Album "Good Girl Gone Bad".

She is looking incredibly sexy in this vid, with Jay Z running on this track I reckon It's almost guaranteed to be #1. She goes from strength to strength, I don't think it will be long until she is on par with Beyonce.

Look out for the video soon, I'll definately be featuring it.

Here Is The New Album Cover For "Good Girl Gone Bad".

A Very Welcome Return From Rihanna.

It's not as if she has really been anywhere but Rihanna is back with her third album in two years. The album, named "Good Girl Gone Bad" is available in June.

In the mean time, here is the first single from it, "Umbrella" features Jay Z & is a bit of a change from the usual Ri-Ri sound.

I'm really Feeling this track, Rihanna's unstoppable run doesn't seem to have any end in sight. The promotion & resource offered by Def-Jam has really done her good.
