"Good Girl Gone Bad" is the 3rd album from "Rihanna" in just over two years, & her sound has thankfully progressed with her age. Although there are still moments of immature 'pop' music on this record, the majority has a more grown up, sexy feel to it, which is only a good thing.

Highlights of the album include; "Umbrella", the current smash hit for Riri, with it's huge rhythm & beat, this was always a certain number #1. Her second single "Shut Up & Drive" will at least give her a top #5 hit, it's more 'rocky' feel makes this an addictive track to listen to.

"Breakin' Dishes" is an obvious single & shows Rihanna with a bit of Attitude. "Don't Stop The Music" is a real gem of this album, with it's 'dance; beat & rhythmically timed lyrics, this sounds more like a UK dance track than something from an R&B artist, this shows Rihanna diversity as an artist, plus she really pulls this track off well.

This album, although promising, is not flawless, with some slow, almost boring tracks; the title track "Good Girl Gone Bad" being one of them, & the addition of "Ne-Yo's" vocals on "Hate That I Love You" being almost cringe worthy, in parts sounding like a musical number from "Grease". Even "Timbaland's" effort for this album just seems to be a recycled beat; "Rehab", while well sung with solid production, just sounds like "Justin Timberlake's" "What Goes Around".

Overall, apart from some disappointing moments, this is a solid, consistent offering with some great tracks. Some tracks need a few listens before you get to like them, but I can promise you will. This will remain a firm favourite with me throughout the summer, & is a promising sign of what is to come from Rihanna, this will not be the last you hear from this girl, not by a long shot.

"Good Girl Gone Bad" is scheduled for release June 4th (UK), go a grab a copy, it won't disappoint.

Here Is The Fantastic New Video From E-V-E.

Tambourine is the debut single from "Eve's" new album "Here I Am", the video itself is brilliant, it's "Missy Elliott" style randomness is great, I was surprised at just how good it was.

It's a real party track, the production from "Swizz Beats" is on-point as usual, I hope & believe, this will be her biggest hit so far, can't wait for the album to drop.

What Do You Think, Hot Or Not?

Here Are A Couple Of Shots Of "Eve" While Filming Her New Video For "Tambourine".

Eve is looking on top form & I have really been liking the song since I first heard it, this may well be her biggest hit. I like Eve's style & attitude, she manage to be fiery while still maintaining a sense of class.

Here Is The Brand New Video From R&B Superstar "Ne-Yo".

It is scheduled to be his new single from his current hit album "Because Of You", it is titled "Do You" & is a good choice as a second single. Same old song from Ne-Yo once again, but I can't seem to dislike them, his writing style is perfect, he is a real 'Hit Maker'.

Just A Quick Update Regarding This Blog.

In an attempt to make my blog more accessable, & a little more unique, the URL will be changing. Sometime over the next couple of days, my Blogs address will be changing to "www.urbanreview.co.uk".

The old URL will still work, so there is no need to update any links & the blog will be staying pretty much the same for now.

Here Is A Brand New Video Of A Fantastic Track Taken From Timbo's Current Album.

It features Rock band "The Hives" & is one of my favourites from the album, called "Throw It On Me", it is not particularly Hip-Hop, & does not fit Timbo's usual sound, but that is why I love it so much, proof once more that "Timbaland" is the King of producers.

This will not be his next single, it is scheduled to be "Way I Are" or maybe "Apologize" in the UK, I have heard rumours of both.
Either way, the video for "Way I Are" is to be premiered next week.

Anyway, the video is pretty awesome as well, give it a look & tell me what you think of it?

Here Is A Another Brand New Track From "The Black Eyed Peas". Unfortunately It's Not From Their New Album.

The track is called "More" & is for a new "Pepsi" campaign. It's great to hear new material from BEP, I think they are the most innovative group to emerge in years.

This is not a bad track, but you can't expect anything earth shattering for a Pepsi Ad.

I can't wait for their new album, apparently it will be called "From Ruits To Fruits", but I have heard no confirmation of it's release date yet.

This Is To Be The 4th UK Single From "Justin's" Current Smash Album, Produced By Timbaland, It's Sure To Do Well.

The vibe I get from people about this track is pretty negative, but I have always really liked it, I think it's original, energetic & a real summer tune. I hope they don't tamper with the album version too much as it has a chord that sounds like a rip from "Red Hot Chilli Peppers" "By The Way", plus a deadly beat.

Give it a listen & let me know what you think of it.

Riri...

Today, Unexpectedly, Rihanna's New, Highly Anticipated Album; "Good Girl Gone Bad" Was Leaked.

I have been looking forward to this album for quite some time, I haven't had a chance to have a listen yet, but as soon as I do, there will be a review.

On another note, Riri has also performed a live session here in the UK for "Radio 1's Big Weekend", it's not a bad show from the 19 year old. But she still needs a little work on her vocal talent, there are some obvious weak notes in her voice, but mainly she needs a little more energy in it.

Here is the download link for her new album, even if you download it from here, go & buy it in stores on June 4th.

Plus, here is her live performance from this weekends show:

Here Is The Brand New Single From "Cassie".

It has been ripped from her Myspace page (sorry) & features "Ryan Leslie", who also produced the track, with his signature, uptempo sound.

As with all Cassie's material, the production is absolute perfection, but as usual, her vocals are pretty poor, I really like her style & her sound. I hope her vocal talent improves enough for her to stick around, she probably will, you can't keep a "Bad Boy" artist down.
