The Highly Anticipated Video For Janet Jackson's New Single Feedback Premiered Yesterday On Yahoo Launch.

While I still think that the track lacks musical talent, even I cannot doubt the fact that Janet is on to a chart topping hit. She is back in the game as a Popstar & this track proves it; I've had it stuck in my head all day.

The video itself is a little random, it seems to me that it's trying to hard, being different just for the sake of it. There seems to be no real concept, just a bunch of people dancing on a giant Lava-Lamp. Still, I ain't hating on Janet for that, she looks on-point, maybe the Yo-Yo dieting is going her way for now.

The choreography is fantastic, not just from Ms Jackson but from the whole dancing troop. Janet, now 41, looks like she did when she was in her prime, especially in that red-number at the end. If she can keep up this momentum she just might own 2008, if all that hype comes true.

According To TMZ -The Worlds Most Famous White Rapper; Eminem Was Rushed Into Hospital Over The Christmas Period.

Eminem 's publicist told TMZ: "Over the holidays, Marshall Mathers, aka Eminem, was under doctor's care at a Detroit-area hospital for complications due to pneumonia. He has since been released and is doing well recovering at home."
It is also mentioned that Em's weight has 'ballooned' to 200lbs, if that's true then he might have to take back the title of 'Slim-Shady'. Still, although I'm not the biggest Em fan, lets hope it's getting better!

After A Relatively Quiet Period From The Serial Hit-Maker Sean Paul, He Returns To The Scene With What Is Rumored To Be His New Single Pepperpot.

From the offset, this slow-jam obviously lacks the strength of Sean's usual beat bangers, I'm certainly not feeling it. I like a lot of Sean's album tracks, most of his catchy singles, but not his mellow tracks, it lacks the very thing that SP produces so well; energy.

Another, smaller negative, is that title, it just annoys the hell out of me for some reason. Let's hope SP can step up his game for the future.
Still, it may grow on me, or it may be pulled as the first single from a new album, I hope so. Check out the link below & make up your own minds, remember to let me know what you think?

Still On The Campaign Trail For Her Recent Release Growing Pains; Mary J Blige Takes The Cover Of February's Issue Of The Hugely Popular Vibe Magazine.

Mary still manages to pull of any look she tries, since she broke away from her 'Tomboy' look of the 90s she always looks fantastic. Mary is one of my favorite R&B artists ever, I honestly think she is the legend of our times, people should recognize her while she is at her prime.

One Of My Hot-Picks For 2008; Keri Hilson Is Looking Gorgeous On The Cover Of Fader Magazine.

I have been championing Keri for a while now, I only really came across her because she signed with Timbaland's - Mosley Music Group. Now she is gaining more publicity than ever, '08 is going to be a big year for Ms Hilson.

Her debut album In A Perfect World is set for a mid year release, I will be very interested to finally hear her take on contemporary R&B. For now, you can check her out in The Fader Magazine, or download the issue on their website; click Here.

Kelly Rowland Has Premiered The Video For Her New US Single Daylight.

It features Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes & will provide the sound track for the new movie - Astérix At The Olympic Games. Although I feel the track is too 'poppy', the rap lyrics annoy me & it feels pretty lame. I do think that the song will be a success for Kelly, which is what she really needs.

The video is not up too much either, very poor edits of the movie, & pretty low budget. I don't think this one will be remembered as a highlight of Kelly's career, still I am a real fan of Ms Kelly & hope the re-release comes up with something stronger than this.

Diddy's Ladies Are Back, The Gorgeous Girls Of Danity Kane Are Working On Their New, As Yet Untitled Album.

2 Of U is a track that has been put out as a 'preview', it is still unclear whether or not it will be the lead single. The song itself is really not good, while the production is solid, the lyrical value is crap; "Give It To Me 4 Times", WTF? Not feeling it, though it might grow on me.

It really annoys me that Danity Kane are so poor, from watching
Making The Band it was obvious that all the girls have good vocals & the huge potential of the group was really exciting. I don't think the group are moving in the right direction, they need some Destiny's Child style R&B, not some Pussycat Doll reject pop records.

Firstly, As Always With Urban Review, I Want To State That This Is In The Rumor Stage & Is Not Yet Confirmed. I Don't Want To Give Out Lies & Tell You It's The Truth.

As most Hip-Hop heads will know by now, the current Godfather of rappers; Jay Z has parted ways with the worlds largest Hip-Hop record label Def Jam. If you're like me, then you will have realised that Jay wouldn't just turn away from a million dollar career, unless he had something good lined up.

Now, speculation is mounting that the Jigga Man is to head a brand new record label created by the iPod giants Apple. No one can deny that if this goes down, it will make a powerhouse of business, with Apple's very own iTunes as the ultimate way to sell music.

If this is for real, I'm not so sure it will be a good thing for music, I mean WTF do Apple know about good music, or the record industry. Maybe they will purchase a well established company & re-brand it as their own? Whatever happens, I'm sure Jay will land on his feet.

Damn, For The First Time In A long Time, A 'To Be Continued' Video Actually Got Continued.
As A Follow Up Single & Video To Girlfriend; Here Are Bow Wow & Omarion With Hey Baby.

This Rick Ruben produced track is pretty good, it's slick production & well performed lyrics make for a bit of a club banger. With a sample from LL Cool J's; Going Back To Cali the beats feel a little bit like a BEP track, which is always a good thing.

I am really surprised by Face Off, when I heard the concept of the album I never thought I would like it in a million years, but it's actually turned out to be a well deserved hit. Can't hate on either of them for that.

Yeeahhh! Lil Jon Has Again Teamed Up With Fellow Crunk Artist Ciara For Her Next Single That's Right.

Yup, your correct, this is yet another mindless, brainless, poorly written track from both Jon & Ciara, but I can't help but love it. I really feel the whole crunk sound & find Lil Jon absolutely hilarious

Not the best video Ciara has shot, but it serves a purpose, while I like the 'deeper' tracks, such as Like A Boy, I always long for CC to head back to the days of her & Missy 1, 2 steppin'. Check out the Video below & let me know what you think?

New Year, Same Ne-Yo. Here Is The Brand New Video From The Reigning King Of R&B.

Go On Girl is set to be the next single lifted from his current hit-filled album; Because Of You. Although I'm not a massive Ne-Yo fan, I find it near impossible to hate on him, his charisma & style make him a real star.

However, I don't love this song, I don't love this album, & with Usher on the way with his next offering, I think it's time for Ne-Yo to step up, or fall back. Check out the video below & let me know your thoughts.

Yo, I'm Back & Refreshed After A Week Off Work & Now It's Time To Get Back To The Music!

As usual Christmas is a pretty slow time for new music, however a few goings on didn't miss my attention, here is a short rundown below -

Jay Z is no longer the president of Def Jam, the worlds greatest rapper stepped down from that position as of the 1st of January. Not sure yet if he will remain a Def Jam artist, but I'm thinking he will.

R&B star Brandy will not face charges over her car accident in 2007. Maybe money can get you out of anything!

Usher has confirmed that a track has been penned for a collaboration between himself, T-Pain & Michael Jackson. That sounds like some Fiyah!

Mariah Carey has aired her brand new single; Migrate at her annual new years eve party. The track features T-Pain & I will be really excited to hear it when it surfaces.

Well, that's your fix of news for now, normal posts will continue as usual, so I'm officially Back! Get ready for some great music over the coming year, thanks to everyone who has visited my site over the past 12 months & remember to keep it locked as it will only get bigger & better.

Happy New Year!
