The Recent "VH1 Hip-Hop Honors" Held A Tribute To One Of The Greats Of Modern Urban Music; "Missy Elliott".

The performance accumulated some of Missy's greatest hits into a medley performed by past Elliott collaborators including genius producer "Timbaland", "Nelly Furtado", "Eve", "Fat Man Scoop", "Ciara", "Tweet" & "Keyshia Cole".

Missy is one of my favorite artists, I love her strange sense of style, her distinctive flow & her natural ability to push the boundaries of modern music. I cannot wait for her to reunite with Timbaland (the greatest Hip-Hop partnership ever IMO) on her new album; " ", which is due .

Check Out The Performance Below & Let Me Know What You Think?

What Did You Think Of The Performance,
Let Me Know?

Here Is The Pinnacle Of the "VMAs" This Year, After Some Mediocre Performances From Some Artists, "Timbo" Did What He Does Best With The Closing Performance Of The Night.

With a medley of tracks produced by the 'Super Producer', we saw; "JT", "Nelly", "D.O.E", & Tim's Brother "Sebastian" all take to the stage, along with a performance I was dying to see; the gorgeous "Keri Hilson".

Keri performed well, with a shaky start, she recovered well with some good melodies & an on-point performance, which made me think; 'Britney Who?' This girl surpasses her in every way, I have backed her from the start & it won't be long now before she shows the world what she can do.

Did You See the Performance,
What Did You Think?

Here Is The Video For "Nelly Furtado's" New Video For "Do It".
(Apologies For The Crappy Rip, Will Update When A Better Version Becomes Available)

This is the 7th! single from "Loose" & the video's are getting distinctly cheap, still I think this is a great little Pop-R&B track & I'm sure it will do Nelly well, it's a very easy listen & very catchy.

Although this track is pretty cool, I still want her to release "Afraid", it is definately one of the best tracks from what is a really solid album. Loose is so smooth & well put together, with strong vocals & quality production, even the foreign language tracks are good.

Got A Copy Of Nelly's Album Yet,
What Do You Think Of It?

Yesterday Saw The UK Hold A Huge Scale Concert To Memory Of The Late Princess Of Wales, "Diana" On What Would Have Been Her 46th Birthday.

As well as some of the Princess' favourite musical acts including "Sir Elton John", there was a large array of modern music from "Lily Allen" to "Fergie" & "Nelly Furtado". Here are my favourite highlights from the show.

Diddy - I'll Be Missing You

A fitting tribute from Mr Sean Combs, a song to remember the great "B.I.G" was transformed into a 'celebration of life' for Diana. His performance was very over the top, with some 'cringe' worthy moments but he means well in his ways & I only have respect for the man. In the end it was a very emotional performance from a man who was obviously feeling the moment, a great tribute.

Nelly Furtado - Man Eater

Nelly did a few tracks, but performance wise this was definately the best, she really got the crowd going & was on top form, her vocals were great & her confidence in front of such a large crowd on such a special occasion was phenomenal. Whoa Nelly!

Kanye West - Medley

Kanye is on fire in this performance, he mixed a medley of his hits together in an awesome show, he ripped up the stage like no one else. Highlights included "Touch The Sky", "Gold Digger" & his fantastic new track "Stronger". Definitive performer of the evening without a doubt.

Obviously we can't forget why all these acts were together, to remember & to celebrate the life of Diana, Princess Of Wales. She was a national treasure to the people of the UK, someone who crossed boundaries & touched peoples lives, she Will be forever missed & forever remembered. R.I.P.

What Did You make Of The Concert & The Performers, Would Love To Hear Any Comments?

"In God's Hands" In The Latest UK Single From "Nelly Furtado", Here Is The Brand New Video.

I'm not a great fan of this track, I'm also not sure why Nelly's people decided to release it, her album "Loose" is full of some great, energetic tracks, with some obvious singles, "In God's Hands" just feels like a final single to me. The video itself is very low budget, but has an 80's sort of feel to me, It's plain & simple, but in a good way.

If you haven't grabbed a copy of the album yet, I recommend you do so, it's a real R&B piece, the production from "Timbaland" is obviously on-point & it's a real enjoyable listen, look out for a track called "Afraid".

Check out the link & the video below & let me know your thoughts.

Cool Or Boring, You Decide?

Thought I Would Try Something New & See How People Like It.

Every now & then I hear a track, on my iPod, radio or TV & I think, damn I forgot about that. So just in case anyone else forgets, or has never even heard it, I thought I would post that tune up.

Today I heard "Ms Jade" on MTV, her track featuring "Timbo" & "Nelly", back in 2002 when Tim & Nell where first starting their fantastic relationship.

The track, "Ching Ching" was a great sound, a random array of beats & the fantastic hook that Nelly keeps up throughout. It wasn't a smash hit but did pretty well, although I don't think it was ever released in the UK I still loved it for quite a while.

According To An Interview With Nelly Furtado, She & Timbaland Have A 'Rock Band' Planned.

I use the word 'rock' in the lightest form possible, while Timbo can produce hot rhythms & beats for rock bands, he is not a rocker, Furtado agrees, admitting to Billboard.com:
"I don't think it'd be, like, a real rock band. It'd be more like our version of alternative, so it wouldn't necessarily be like heavy and guitar-driven. It would be left field, and not necessarily pop"
She continues, saying:
"We keep arguing over names. I want these really weird, subversive names, and (Timbaland) wants these mysterious, like, 'Lord of the Rings' kind of names. We can't decide."

Whatever they do decide on calling the band, I think it really might work, I can't see it being a mega selling success & I don't think they should continue calling it 'rock'. But, I feel it will have a cult following & really hope it goes ahead, I would love to hear some material.

Below is Timbaland appearing on the cover of the May issue of Remix Magazine.

What Do You Think Of Their Planned 'Rock' Band? Let Me Know...

Just Thought I Would Post The Full, Higher Quality, Tim Video.

Fell in love with this song from the offet, goosebumps the first time I heard it lol.
Not long now, Shock Value is available on 02/04/07, this album is going to something so special, words cannot describe. Bring it on.

Here Is A Clip Or A Promo For Timbaland's New Single "Give It To Me" ft. Justin Timbalake & Nelly Furtado...

Can't wait for the new album, it is going to be HUGE. Enjoy

A sneak look at a promo video for Timbaland's "Give It To Me" ft. Justin Timbalake & Nelly Furtado.

It is taken from a concert so obviously the audio is poor but it's the best we got.

As I & Most Timbaland Fans Have Known For Some Time, His New Album "Shock Value" Will Be Available In The UK On 26/03/2007.

I just though it was worth mentioning so that NO-ONE forgets, I even heard his debut single "Give It To Me" on the indie crap of all Radio... Radio1.

FALL BACK! Here He Comes. lol

Wednesday 14th, valentines day, saw the return to live broadcast of The Brit Awards.

Presented by the hilarious & ridiculous Russell Brand, with his crude jokes about Robbie Williams, The Queen & Iraq. With a performance from Corinne Bailey Rae as well as a great night for Timbaland, with Nelly Furtado & Justin Timbalake winning awards it was a good show. Another quality winner was Amy Winehouse, this girl is great, she has a lot of attitude & uses it well.

There were a few bad points, or people, Noel Gallagher not being able to behave himself after his supposed verbal abuse of Jake Shears from the Scissor Sisters & his rants about politics that were not exactly needed.
As if this wasn't enough for the night, Lily "coz i is black" Allen decided to take a dig at the fantastic Corinne Bailey Rae saying that "I don't care who wins the award as long as it ain't her", good music but no style or class, back to the pretend ghetto little girl.

There were some deserved winners & some utterly poor choices, namely from Radio1 listeners, anyway, make up your own mind with the list of winners & losers below.
