The Annual "European Music Awards" Are Due To Kick Off Tonight in Munich, & It Promises To Be A Good Show, by "MTV's" Standards Anyway.


The show is due to be hosted by "Snoop Dogg", which will either be embarrassing or hilarious, plus appearances by; "Kelly Rowland", "Craig David", "Wyclef Jean" & "Joss Stone" who will all present awards.

On top of the star studded presenters, there will also be some great performances from the likes of; "Will.i.am", "Nicole Scherzinger" & "Amy Winehouse". For once, I will actually feature an MTV awards show & genuinely look forward to it, it's just a shame there are not more European performers. It feels like an 'MTV tour of that little continent', rather than a celebration of European music, where's "M.I.A" at?

Viewers in the UK can catch the show live on MTV ONE at 10:30pm tonight, I'm not too sure when or if it will be aired stateside.

Here Is The Official Trailer For The 4th Season Of "MTV's" Smash Hit Reality Show "Run's House".

I love this show, & cannot wait for it to premiere over here in the UK, "Run" is always an entertaining person to watch no matter what he is doing & it is one of a few MTV shows that actually has some connection to music.

This is the definitive performance from last nights awards, I am really feeling "No One" & can't wait for her album to drop. It seems a shame that someone with the capabilities of Alicia was on top form, while the travesty of "Britney Spears" got all the hype.

Well... The "VMAs" Have Been, Gone & Were As Disappointing As Ever, I Really Thought "MTV" May Have Got There Act Together For This Year But Apparently Not.

Still, there were a few good performances & as predicted by myself, "Britney" f*ck'd up like a professional. It comes to something when a performer can't even 'lip sync', her choreography was boring & rigid, & she looked like an out of date stripper.

As mentioned, there were some performances that I liked, but I know for a fact that MTV will be on the war path today, ripping down the vids from "YouTube" ETC. Sorry About The Lack Of Posts Of Late, There Really Is Nothing Much Going Down In The Music World, Maybe Everyone Is Poised For The "VMA's".

As you probably already know, this year they are due to be held in Las Vegas, tonight, with the usual line up that "MTV" has the power to draw. As well as the return of "Britney Spears" (Performing the "Danja" produced "Gimme More"), there will be a huge line up including the following:

While I think most of the awards are just a joke & MTV still awards pop acts over talented ones, it should still make a mega show with a few good artists performing (Timbo, Alicia Keys etc). I will be tuning in to see if anyone but Alicia performs live & just how badly Britney can f*ck up.

Last Night, "MTV" Held Their Annual Movie Awards & MTV Just Wouldn't Be MTV Without Some Music Thrown In The Mix.

Among others, "Rihanna" performed her World Wide smash "Umbrella", after seeing her perform in the UK, i wasn't expecting a huge amount of improvement in quality but I was most definately wrong.

Riri seems to have come on leaps & bounds in her live performances, her stage presence, confidence & most importantly her vocals. Don't get me wrong, she's no "Mariah choreography in her " but it's great to feel an energy to her voice, rather than the almost lifeless renditions we are used to. Rihanna'sperformance was on-point as usual, & with the addition of "Jay Z" spiting his lyrics at the start, this was a stand out performance.

Rihanna's third album, which was released in the UK today is set to head straight for the number one spot, it is a strong offering, & with her obvious vocal improvement, plus her bounding confidence & charisma, it may soon be time for "Beyonce" to step aside as the Queen of R&B.

As You May Have Heard, & As I Have Mentioned Before, Kelis & Nas Have An Upcoming Reality Show Coming Up.

Here is a short clip of the show, it's not much, but it gives the feeling that the show will focus more on the life of Kelis. Many people have pointed out that MTV shows bring bad luck for celeb couples, i.e. Nick & Jessica (The Newlyweds), but I don't think that will be the case with Kelis & Nas.

I can't wait for the show to air in the UK, there is a truth that people don't seem to see about Kelis. I think she is one of the best female recording artists in the WORLD, her talent as a producer is unique, plus her raspy vocals are a fantastic, she is most definately one of my favourite artists at the moment. Plus, her attitude & personality are both huge, I think this show will be a hit & will do good for both of them.

A Planned Documentry, To Be Shown On VH1, Will Show The Last Month Of Lisa Lopes life.

The documentary, entitled "Last Days of Left Eye" will be shown on MTV's VH1 music channel. According to MTV Left Eye was documenting the last month of her life, maybe for a tv show, I'm not 100% sure.

Lisa Lopes passed away 5 years ago, almost to the day (25th April 2005), in a tragic car accident, her parents are still in an ongoing legal case over it.

Left Eye was a very talented female MC, whom there are not enough of around at the moment, her work will live on for some time to come, hopefully this documentary will be a tribute to her, rather than a cash in.
