Reports Of A New "Cassie" Album Maybe Come As Terrible News For A Lot Of You, As Her Questionable Singing Talent Has Not Proved Well In The Past. But Here She Is With A New, Promising Track That Is Rumored To Be A Single From A Record Due Early Next Year.

"Turn The Lights Off" is a "Ciara" style, 1 - 2 stepping track that continues the usual formula from Cassie, it remains fun & catchy, while having quite a sexy edge to it. This track is Hot!

Cassie still has a long way to prove herself as a respectable artist, I remember the first time I heard her live, I was absolutely lost for words, how could this be a "Bad Boy" artist, "Diddy" usually has such high standards? Still, she continues her career for now & keeps throwing out pop market stuff.

"Keyshia Cole" Continues The Single Releases For Her New Album "Just Like You", Here Is The New Video For Her Most Recent Track; "Shoulda Let You Go".

Not to seem harsh, but let's face it, Keyshia is not the sexiest girl in the game, but she looks good in this video, she has had a makeover & seems very confident in her appearance.

The video contains very simple but really cool choreography & the token rap verse from the generic female MC, but I'm not sure who it is, if anyone knows, be sure to
leave a comment?

(Edit: The Female Rapper Is Called AMINA)

Keyshia's album, Just Like You, is hot material, her vocals & professionalism have really grown from her first release & have produced a very solid album, definitely recommended. Although I have heard Keyshia being a bit of a diva of late, I really like her & she seems to have a longevity in the R&B game.

Here Is The New Video For "T.I's" Latest Single; "Hurt".

I personally love this track, it is a real 'Banga' & it continues T.I's role as one of the best rappers
on the scene at the moment, he has incredible flow & a very distinctive sound. His beats are at points 'Epic' & with the edition of "Bus-A-Bus" & the relative unknown "Alfa Mega", this track will go far.

After Having Mammoth Success Stateside With His Hit "Crank That", "Soulja Boy" Hopes To Continue His Rampage With His Next Single.

"Soulja Girl" is another hit record with another great hook, although I don't really respect the 'Hip-Pop' that he produces, I have to admit that he is a likable character & his album; "Soulja Boy Tellem", does contain some very cool, easy listen material.

Site Update...

Yo People,

Firstly, if your reading this then you are visiting my site, so thank you for that.
Since the beginning of this year my site has been going from strength to strength, until about a month ago, when Google f*kd up & stopped updating my posts in their searches (which has now been fixed), so I lost a lot of hits everyday.

So now I am trying my hardest to get back up there in the rankings & compete with some of the top blogs once again (Chris-Pix, That Grape Juice, EV Luvs U, etc). To help me do this, I need readers & links, so if you have a blog or site that is connected to mine, i.e. music or entertainment, then I would love to be an affiliate.

If your interested in doing a link exchange, or if there is anything else on your mind, shout at me by sending an email to: mark@urbanreview.co.uk

If you don't have your own site, you can show your support by voting for me in the blog listings (click the "Vote For Me" button near the top of my page), by telling your friends about Urban Review, or maybe leaving a message in my shoutbox.

Also, I'm not allowed to tell you to click the Google Ads, but if you "accidentally" did, it would help me out.

Much love to you guys who visit my site daily & those who email me about it. You know where to find the best in Hip-Hop & R&B.

For Those Who Don't Know, "The Dream" Is A Singer/Songwriter, Who Was Responsible For "Rihanna's" "Umbrella" Smash Earlier This Year.

Here is his new single; "Falsetto", which is a hot slow jam, with some nice production & some solid lyrics, this track is solid R&B track. Although this guy doesn't seem to be anything too special as a performer, he has huge potential as a writer as he has already penned "J. Holiday's" "Bed", as well as Rihanna's biggest track to date.

I am really feeling this track, his previous single "Shawty Is A Ten" was alright, but this is a vast improvement.

Review By Allantte -

T-Pain is back with his sophomore (LP); Epiphany. T-pain, is most likely remembered for delivering catchy hits like "I'm Sprung" & "I'm In Luv (Wit A Stripper)" back in 2005. Many labeled him as a one hit wonder, but the "Rappa Ternt Sanga" has proven otherwise on his second release.

With the hit singles "Buy U A Drank (Shawty Snappin)" and "Bartender" T-Pain displays his abilities to write and produced hit songs. Most of the 17 tracks on the album are up-tempos, intended for parties or the club.

The standouts are the innovative "My Girl Gotta Girlfriend" in which he dabbles in the situation of walking in on his girlfriend getting intimate with another girl. The dancehall influenced "Shottas" featuring Cardinal Official and Cham; "Baqseat Action" featuring Shawnna; "Tipsy" & "Yo Stomach" where he dares to sing about wanting to climax all over a womans stomach..!

Surprisingly, T-Pain also does well on the mellow slow jams as well, "Put It Down", "Right Hand", & "Time Machine" definitely are a nice change from T-Pain's usual sound. The two song which differ from everything else on this album and on many R&B albums out now are the fast paced fight song "Church" where he threatens:

"I done turned into a rude dude...you talkin' sh*t , close your lips, before the end of the night I'm gon have to take yo a** to church"

The toughness and speed of the song would more fit into the 'Hip-Hop' genre which is probably why T-Pain excels on this track. "Suicide" is another song which rears away from 'classic R&B', in which T-Pain tackles the subject of HIV/Aids in only the way T-pain can.

In summary, the lyrics of the album & the emotion behind T-Pain's voice may actually bring out something more from his fans than a dance move, or a nodding head. I would recommend this album, it fits well into popular music from today, the negative is, its not a classic; within a year or so the CD will be laying around and you wont be able to remember what's on it.

My Rating For "Epiphany": 3/5

Religious Rapper & Social Activist, "Lupe Fiasco" Returns With The First Single From His New Album; "The Cool".

"Superstar" is a mid-tempo track with a solid, constant beat that sustains the lyrics really well. Lupe is definitely a lyricist, & this track shows him in his prime, the hook is as hot as the production, while Lupe shows us he can flow as well as anyone in the game.

Although he has never had a huge success, Lupe's last album "
Food & Liquor" was excellent, & it gained a cult following. Lupe mixes old school Hip-Hop with more contemporary production, & he does it well.

The First Lady Of UK Hip-Hop Is Back, With Her New Single "Wait A Minute".

"Estelle" has been working with the top names of US producers, including "Kanye West" & "Will.i.am", the latter is the producer of this track. I heard this song so long ago, but have only just managed to get hold of a webrip copy.

Estelle's new album, "Shine" (unconfirmed title) is due for release early next year, on "John Legend's" record label; "Home School Records". It will reportedly feature production & collaborations from "Swizz Beatz", "Mark Ronson", "Cee-Lo", "Wyclef Jean" & record boss John Legend.

I think Estelle is one of the best artists to emerge from the UK in recent times & can't wait to hear more from her album, this track is going to be around for sometime to come.
