Hip Hop Mogul Russell Simmons, Co Founder Of DefJam Records, Has Called For All Recording Artists Not To Use The Words "Bitch", "Ho" or "Nigger".
He said that there should be no government legislation or law against the words, but artists should be responsibly & strong willed enough to stop using them, & described the words as "Racially Offensive".
I can't see it having much effect myself, but at least he is trying to have a positive effect on a generation & culture that he helped create.

From the offset, you can feel the unique styling of Kelis all over this record, from the first single "Bossy" I thought that this was something a bit special, despite the views of critics, this album is full of Hot, top notch production from the likes of Cool & Dre, Linda Perry, will.i.am, Kelis herself & loud mouthed Scott Storch took time from his dissin' of Timbo to have a go at production.
Some of the lyrics are a little questionable & "I Don't Think So" being a personal annoyance as a very childish, pop orientated track. But, this should not & will not put you off of a great album from a unique artist.
"Fire" is the definite highlight of this album, with it's infectious beats & stunning rhythm, if this is not released as a single, it will be a crime, this track is so Hot & should be shared.
All in all, this is a quality piece of material from a truly unique & understated artist, definitely one of my pics of the year, almost up there with Justin's work & surpasses Beyonces material of late, most definitely one for the club, or if your like me, one for the car.
**** 4 Stars
Here He Comes...
As I & Most Timbaland Fans Have Known For Some Time, His New Album "Shock Value" Will Be Available In The UK On 26/03/2007.
I just though it was worth mentioning so that NO-ONE forgets, I even heard his debut single "Give It To Me" on the indie crap of all Radio... Radio1.
FALL BACK! Here He Comes. lol
Without a doubt the best news I have heard this year so far, the upcoming release of Timbaland's next album "Shock Value", I have personally already preordered this and my predictions are that this album will be my album of the year, if not of the century lol. It is reported that it will feature the following artists:
- Nicole Scherzinger
- M.I.A.
- Keri Hilson
- Fall Out Boy
- Kanye West
- The Hives
- She Wants Revenge
- Ludacris
- Jay-Z
- Elton John
- Missy Elliott
- Lil Wayne
- Justin Timberlake
- 50 Cent
- Nelly Furtado
- Dr. Dre
- Björk

Tragically I'm sure this album will not get the credit or media coverage that it deserves as producer's albums have never been well received by the "pop" buying public, especially in the here in the UK, as shown by the release of Pharrell Williams album last year. Never the less, for talent appreciating peeps like myself this album will sounding our ears for the majority of 2007. Keep It Coming..!
